Airport, TSA, Airlines Issue Tips for Smoother Holiday Travel

BURBANK, Calif., November 18, 2005 — Thanksgiving week kicks off the winter holiday travel season, and this year could be busier than ever at Bob Hope Airport where strong demand for traditional West Coast flights and new nonstop service to the East Coast is drawing more passengers than last year. The passenger count in September was up 20% and there is an 11% increase year-to-date.

“People need to know it’s going to be very busy here, and planning ahead will make a lot of difference in their travel experience,” said Executive Director Dios Marrero.
