Bob Hope Airport Fights Proposed Cuts in Metrolink

Airport Authority Offers Ad Campaign to Metrolink Board to Bolster Ridership

BURBANK, Calif., March 15, 2010 — The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority took action today to oppose proposed cuts in Metrolink service to the Bob Hope Airport Train Station under consideration by the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) at an upcoming hearing April 2.

In a letter sent to SCRRA’s hearing docket, Authority President Joyce Streator challenged the wisdom of cuts that could include the complete elimination of service from Oxnard and Camarillo as well as draconian cuts in service to the Antelope Valley.
