BURBANK, Calif., May 8, 2003 — Visitors to the Burbank Central Library will have an unusual opportunity to see photos and artifacts associated with the 73-year history of Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport as they enter the library during the month of May.

The exhibit cases at the main entrance have been devoted to the approaching anniversary of the Airport’s grand opening, which occurred May 30 and 31, 1930.  The display is part of the Airport’s ongoing celebration of the Centennial of Flight, an event being observed throughout the U.S. this year.
